Former Nike And Adidas Designer Releases Tesla Football Shoe Concept
Hussain Almossawi, a designer based in New York City has recently released designs for a Tesla football shoe concept. Hussain is known for his futuristic designs including his work on automotive and footwear.
Hussain’s love for football and Tesla inspired his latest concept. Explaining how the project came about, Hussain said: "This was a fun concept I created imagining what the future of football boots can look like when the two universes of different brands merge together.
"The goal of the project was to envision the future of football and have a fun take on how certain themes and keywords can drive the design narrative and language for each boot.", he further said.
Tesla, Inc. is an American electric vehicle and clean energy company based in Palo Alto, California. Tesla's current products include electric cars, battery energy storage from home to grid-scale, solar panels and solar roof tiles, as well as other related products and services.
The shoe due to its Tesla-inspired nature has luminous stripes but does not have a smart feature in general. The sides and back are woven with electroluminescent fabric, creating bright lines on the side and a glowing, pulsating Tesla logo at the back. The studs on the base of the shoes glow too.
In 2019, Hussain Almossawi founded his own design studio Mossawi Studios in Brooklyn, which focuses on VFX and product design, and serves as the studio's Chief Designer.
