11,520 Potted Plants Clad This Rippling Observatory Tower Concept By NUDES
Architecture company NUDES has recently made a proposal for a stunning observatory tower which adopt three key facets; integration of nature, technology and community participation.

The design project named ‘the people’s tower’ features 11,520 potted plants which form the skin of the building. As part of the community participation, members of the community are given the opportunity to help build the project by sowing and nurturing the potted plants, before being positioned into place. It is said that potted plants provide both physical and psychological comfort, including improvement of air quality and reduction of stress levels
The maintenance of the potted plants will be done through technology, with drones and robots being prepared for that purpose.
More is expected in the technology angle as the plant's health would be monitored in real-time using image scanning combined with application technologies, including remote sensing. Recycled water mists would be sprayed through vertical feed lines embedded into the tower infrastructure.
‘The people’s tower’ rises vertically, housing observatory decks at various levels with breathtaking panoramic views on the top. The design aims to celebrate and recognize the role and contribution of people in the act of nation-building, addressing the confluence of nature, art, and technology to create a positive legacy for future generations.
Thousands of pots coming together to echo ideologies such as unity, peace, and tolerance, reflects a universal symbol of life and survival, a core feature of humanity which NUDES aims to feature with its design.
