If you’ve visited the UAE’s latest attraction or what is also known as the Museum of the Future, then you’ve probably come across the serene Al Waha Zone on its third floor.
As soon as visitors enter the premises, they are flooded with information and visuals showing them what the UAE could look like in 2071, which can be quite overwhelming for the mind. It is for this reason that this area was created, to give them a space where they can gather their senses and focus on themselves to stay grounded in such a futuristic setting.
The wellness zone encompasses many different elements that add an extra dimension to it. To start, the lobby of Al Waha features a marble fountain from which the smell of tribulus omanense, the national flower of the UAE, oozes to greet visitors into a calm space. In addition, a sand bath can also be found, where audiovisual effects create the illusion of a soft carpet resembling fine white sand that leaves an imprint, following guests’ footsteps.
In addition, the courtyard is equipped with four adjoining rooms that hold between three to six people, who can gather to experience different ultrasonic therapy methods and techniques. A grounding therapy area is also present to bring visitors into harmony with their body's optimal frequency, which should be 7.83 Hz; in order to do so, they are asked to stand between two large metal discs.
Moreover, connection therapy takes place at a concave-shaped table, where six people are asked to lean into their microphones and hum together to promote collaboration and connection between them.
Finally, the circular meditation center that is found in the zone is considered to be the cherry on top. Multiple seats are placed around a projector that projects water ripples and waves on the ceiling while sounds of the ocean and sea life play in the background, making it a stimulating yet relaxing experience.
For Dh145, you could also explore the exclusive space and get in touch with your emotions and senses.
