Environmental excellence of sites and stores
Italian luxury fashion powerhouse Fendi is known as a big player in the fashion industry, popular for producing fur, ready-to-wear, leather goods, shoes, fragrances, eye-wear, timepieces, and accessories.

Founded in Rome in 1925, Fendi is known for its fur and fur accessories, and for its leather goods such as the Baguette, 2jours, and the Peekaboo handbags.
As an Italian brand, one of Fendi’s objectives is to ensure the preservation of the beautiful Italian landscapes at heart. To accomplish this efficiently, Fendi has chosen to re-qualify an abandoned industrial site in the hills of Tuscany to build its new pole of excellence. This new project will be especially unique due to its state-of-the-art environmental performance.
Fendi’s commitment to sustainability and concern for the welfare of its employees is evident in all its Italian sites and offices, which are certified against the best Environmental and Health & Safety standards (ISO 14001 and ISO 45001), thus ensuring a safe workplace and environment for production processes.
Recognizing that energy consumption in stores accounts for a high share of Fendi’s GHGs emission, Fendi as part of the LVMH Group has enthusiastically adhered to the LVMH LIFE in Stores Award, which focuses on the implementation of environmental best practices in stores to reduce the impact connected to energy consumption.
Fendi has participated in the Life in Stores award by installing or replacing 100% LED lighting in all stores.
