The world’s first eco-luxury resort created with 3D elements : Kisawa Sanctuary, Mozambique.
Benguerra Island in Mozambique is welcoming the first luxurious resort made with 3D printed elements.

Benguerra Island in Mozambique is welcoming the first luxurious resort made with 3D printed elements. Kisawa Sanctuary, to open this September, applied 3D sand printing process for different parts of the projects (facades, floors, tiles, and brickwork). The patent combines sand and seawater to give a natural finish to the material. This retreat also revived the local economy by hiring local artisans and creating 1,000 job opportunities. Artisans decorated the twelve bungalows with carpets, weaves and roofs true to the Mozambican culture. Privacy is guaranteed for all guests. Bungalows are spread around the 740-acreland, each have access to their own one-acre beach spot and have a private pool. Amazing services await guests at Kisawa Sanctuary: many restaurants to choose from, a beach bar, a library, two beach clubs, a lounge and a pristine pool. And of course, a spa that follows Chinese medicine and that takes on the local architecture. Freedom and comfort are also promised at Kisawa Sanctuary as it is up to the guests to determine when they lunch and when they do activities like diving and marine safari. Kisawa’s founder Nina Flohr partnered with the nonprofit Bazaruto Center for Scientific Studies making the project first a sanctuary but also a high-end retreat. Kisawa aims to protect the subtropical ecosystem and produce coral reefs with 3D printing!
