The space is divided into 2 levels each covering 1,600square meters space. The second floor has an outdoor pool, one gym, and two coffeeshops. The bamboo was woven for acoustic absorption which means indoors events aren’t too noisy. As for the thatched roof, it shields the building from the wind, lets the natural light can brighten the inside, and it also helps acoustic absorption. Plus, this structure protects the community house from the storms that hit the country.
The bracing with the 22 columns and trusses is nine meters high, and set on a plinth. The embedded wire is reinforcement against expected environmental disturbances.
Casamia Community House is built to prove that we can create a structure from natural materials that is both sturdy and lasting.
