Minos Beach Art Hotel is “barefoot luxury experience” in Crete, Mykonos. The 5-starhotel, designed by Giakoumi, Souliou, and Mamidaki, shows the local Cretan culture and minimalist interiors. Since the hotel hugs the beautiful Mediterranean shore, visitors get to stay in beautiful bungalows that sits on the coast.
The hotel, the gardens and the Open Art Air Museum all blend seamlessly in the surrounding nature and cultural background. The buildings are paint in white or in subdued colors. The same brown and beige palette applies to interior architecture –from furniture to artifacts and more. The fauna and flora are invited into the premise with pristine pools and lush greenery. Add to that the sands and rocks from the sea. All in all, the inside and the outside architecture are based on the fishing villages in Eastern Crete.
The escape would not be complete without a culinary experience by award-winning chef Giannis Baxevanis. He sourced local produce to create a delectable Greek and Cretan spread in the 3 restaurants, the 4 bars and coffee shop. One of the main locally-sourced products are the wines from neighboring wineries around Agios Nicolaos. At La Bouillabaisse, enjoy the al fresco formal dining experience and the pool bar.
